About this spot

Safi sits directly at the Atlantic Ocean, about 250 km south from Casablanca and about 300 km north from Agadir. Safi's new town, which is over 90% of the city's total area, appears spacious, modern and rather stereotypical. The old town (Medina) within the Portuguese city walls, on the other hand, has much more to offer. Handicrafts, small shops and the typical maze of alleyways combine here to create a medieval atmosphere

The most widely know surf spot in the area is Safi Garden (Le Jardin), an exposed point break that with big swells holding up to 3,5 meters. While being mostly flat during summers, in northwesterly conditions waves break for up to 500 meters and big hollow barrels are a possibility. Take care of hazardous rocks.
