About this spot

Hvide Sande is a town in Central Denmark Region, located in the dunes between the Ringkøbing Fjord and the North Sea. While being a well-developed fishing port, the Hvide Sande region is famous for its water sports possibilities.

Beginners and amateur wind- and kitesurfers mainly choose to train and develop their skills on the Ringkøbing Fjord. Depending on the wind direction you can enter the Fjord on all sides. The water rarely gets deeper than chest-deep, making it a safe area to progress.

With northwesterly winds however, most kite- and windsurfers head to the North Sea area just south of the harbor. The harbor moles protect you from the prevailing current in that area, giving you good waves with wind coming sideshore from the right. And when the wind drops, you can still enjoy your time by going surfing or Stand Up Paddling there.
