About this spot
Phú Quý district comprises a total of ten islands, with Phú Quý Island being the largest. The north of the island is rocky, while the south consists mostly of sand. The Lagoon in the north ist pretty shallow and flat, especially at low tides, but mostly protected from waves. Surfers with all levels of experience will probably be able to enjoy a good session here in the crystal clear, warm waters. Trade winds are rather consistent, blowing mainly toward northeast or southeast. With the northern part of the island being the population centre, beaches and coastlines might not be as pretty as elsewhere, especially considering the rampant plastic pollution.
